Version 1.3.1GET IT HERE!

The Single A tumblr theme introduces two new features not available on any other Tumblr themethe sticky post and featured tag.

Sticky Post
With Single A you have the ability to “stick” one post at the top of your blog regardless of the date and time of the post.

Let’s say you always want to display at the top of your blog:

  • An “About Me” post
  • Your most recent original long-form blog post
  • An introductory video
  • A quote that you live by, or
  • An advertisement

The sticky post feature allows you to do any of these things. With the sticky tag you can highlight whatever you want in your blog’s top spot.

Here’s how you set it up: In the appearance options, define the sticky tag and use that tag on the post that you would like to always display at the top of your blog. The most recent blog post with the sticky tag will always appear at the top.

Featured Tag
The featured tag enables you to display the five most recent posts of a specific tag in the right sidebar. Similar in layout to the Likes display, the featured tag display allows bloggers to display their five most recent original articles, musicians or music lovers to display their five most recent audio tracks, or photographers to display their five most recent photographs. In short, it’s designed to give you an opportunity to highlight your featured posts long after they have fallen off the first page of your blog.

To enable the featured tag, all you have to do within the appearance options is:

  • Insert a tag in the featured tag text box
  • Use that tag on at least one post
  • Define the label for the featured heading

The sticky post and featured tag are just two of the many features that Single A offers. You can add social media links; control the color of several styles; upload a custom logo or image; display likes, recent tweets, and group blog features; and incorporate the Disqus commenting platform and Google Analytics.

Title Color
This sets the color of your blog title, the background color of post icons, and the color of link post titles, text post titles, chat post titles, and song titles of audio posts.

Link Color
This sets the color for your links within your posts and blog description. It’s also the color of social media icons and the hover color for navigation links, header links, and post footers.

Accent Background Color
This sets the background color of the footer as well as the background color for tag and search result headlines.

Accent Color
This sets the color of the text in the blog’s footer as well as the text color for the tag and search result headlines.

exfm Body, exfm Display, exfm Font, exfm Playlist
These set the color options for the exfm music player (if you have it enabled).

Logo Image
You can use the browse button here to upload a custom image or logo that will link to the home page of your blog. The ideal size is 295 pixels in width; images with a width greater than 295 pixels will be scaled to fit the space. An image with a width less than 295 pixels will automatically center align to preserve its quality.

More about the Sticky Post
If you use the sticky post feature, there are a few subtle differences in the appearance of the post.

  1. The theme will not display the sticky post twice on your blog. It will only appear at the top of your blog.
  2. The sticky post icon is a thumb tack. This post icon is also used for pages.
  3. The sticky post footer background is a darker gray than all other post footers.
